Set Free Project
We run two day centers in some of the most impoverished communities in Phnom Penh where children and families are most at risk of being trafficked and abused. These centers are a place of refuge where both adults and children are welcomed with open arms. Throughout the week we hold kids’ clubs where we share from the Bible, worship, play games, provide food, and teach lessons on various topics. Our team is working hard to break the cycles of poverty, drug addiction and abuse over these communities.
True Light Outreach
In the evenings we go into the streets near the red-light area to reach children and families living and working there. We reach this area by setting up kids’ club on the sidewalks and by building relationships with children and families. In this area of the city, children are at extreme risk of abuse and trafficking and our team works hard to keep them safe. In extreme cases our social workers partner with local authorities to assist and rescue children, individuals and families being abused and/or trafficked.
Social Work
Our social workers work across all projects to break cycles of exploitation and abuse by helping families find long-term solutions to poverty, homelessness, and drug addiction. Our social work team regularly meets families to support and empower them into a better life. This includes practical help with children’s education, finances, accommodation, food and clothing, as well as spiritual encouragements and support. In some extreme cases our social workers partner with local authorities to rescue children, individuals and families being abused and/or trafficked.
Family Discipleship
Every week we hold discipleship classes that teach about the transformational power of a relationship with Jesus. We believe that it is only through individuals encountering and receiving Jesus and intentional discipleship that individuals, families, and then ultimately communities will be transformed. This is a great way for us to reach and build relationships with families as a whole.
Youth Soccer
This program is built to give youth boys living in difficult situations an outlet where they can have fun while simultaneously learning important life lessons. Each week our team provides a time a worship, devotions specifically geared towards the issues related to their lives, drills and coaching to teach them structure and hone their skills, and of course lots of fun soccer playing. We believe that these young men have a bright and promising future! Our goal is to help empower them to overcome the challenges in their lives and achieve their dreams of a brighter future.
The Well Worship & Prayer Room
Intimacy with Jesus is what nourishes and drives us forward. Prayer and worship is the foundation of everything we do and is our weapon. The Well Worship & Prayer Room is located in the heart of the red-light district. We hold regular community worship and prayer nights, believing it is HIS presence that will transform this area.
Bar Outreach
Every week we have a team of ladies who go into the bars/brothels in the red-light area to befriend and minister to the girls working there. The light of Jesus is shining bright, girls are receiving healing and encountering the love of Jesus regularly. Our main agenda is to love the ladies whom God places in front of us, but if one opens up about wanting a new life, a path to freedom is provided through key partnerships with other organizations.
Province Outreach
Our mission to provincial villages is two-fold. Firstly, to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ. We minister house to house as well as hold meetings to share the Gospel with the community. Secondly, we educate the community on the dangers of human trafficking, as provincial villages are often the target of traffickers. Bringing awareness and education prevents a great number of children from falling victim to abuse and trafficking.
